Dongmin Seo, Principal Researcher, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KISTI)

Dongmin Seo is a principal researcher and director of Research Data Sharing Center of Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) and also a professor at Dept. of Data & High Performance Computing Science at Korea University of Science and Technology (UST), Korea. He received his Ph.D. degree in Database at Chungbuk National University, Korea, in 2008. He is an executive director of Korea Contents Association and Database Society, Korea.

 

Sa-kwang Song, Prinicpal Researcher, Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI)

Sa-kwang Song is a principal researcher of Research Data Sharing Center of Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), Daejeon, Korea, and also a professor at Dept. of Data & High Performance Computing Science at Korea University of Science and Technology (UST), Daejeon, Korea. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Korea, in 2011. And he joined Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) in 2010. He has been a member of Technical Advisory Board of RDA (Research Data Alliance) since 2019.

 

Seong-eun Park, Researcher, Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI)

Seong-eun Park is a researcher at Research Data Sharing Center of Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI). She received the M.S. degree in Library and Information Science from Sungkyunkwan University, in 2014. She completed her doctoral degree at Sungkyunkwan University. Her research interests include research data, research data management, and Metadata of research data.

 

Wonsik Shim, Prefessor, Sungkyunkwan University

Wonsik “Jeff” Shim is Professor at the Department of Library and Information Science/Data Science at Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, Korea. Shim received his doctorate from Rutgers University in 1999. He taught at Florida State University’s iSchool between 1999 and 2004. His areas of interest include scholarly communication innovations, data management and curation. He is serving as the chair of ISO TC 46/SC 8 (Information and documentation – Quality – Statistics and performance and evaluation).

 

Hae-ryoun Kim, Librarian, The National Library of Korea

Hae-ryoun Kim is a librarian at Digital Initiatives Division at the National Library of Korea. She is in charge of promoting the sharing of open access resources, providing LOD(Linked Open Data) and application services, and collecting and analyzing big data of Korean libraries. She received her master’s degree in library and information science from Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea.

 

Hyung-Seok Shim, Senior Researcher, Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS)

Hyung-Seok Shim received the Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from the Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 2016. Since 2016, He has been with the Korea Research Institute for Standards and Science (KRISS), Daejeon, Republic of Korea as a Senior Researcher. His research interests include data evaluation for standard reference data, measurement uncertainty, and application of advanced statistics to metrology.

 

Hyunchul Jang, Principal Researcher, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM)

Hyunchul Jang, Ph.D. is conducting research to utilize patient-generated health data in the medical information field, and is operating the data repository of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medcine (KMDR). He has conducted personal health record platforms and personal health information standards studies. He also serves as an expert in terminology and information in traditional medcine at ISO TC 215 and 249. His research interests are information processing and knowledge representation in the medical information field.

 

JongGyu Han, Prinicpal Researcher, Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM)

JongGyu Han is a principal researcher and head of Geoscience Data  Center of Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM), Daejeon, Korea. He received his Ph.D. degree in Spatial Database at Chungbuk National University, Korea, in 2004.  He is participating in international cooperation programs for sharing and utilizing research data in the field of geoscience such as OneGeology, CCOP-GDR and IGSN.
